Protecting Your Profits
Protect the profits you work for by understanding the law and the language that will help protect you, your business, your sanity, and help guarantee you get paid for your work. From bidding to completion, learn what you need to know, what you need to have, and what you need to avoid. Nothing will protect profits like a good contract and accurate documentation. Learn what records to keep, what to include in your contract, and how to document your work. Plan to come away with a solid understanding of how to protect your profits.
Implementing the Energy Code
Meeting the ever-changing energy code can be a frustration for both the homeowner and builder. In this course, learn what is required and how to successfully meet the standards. Explore ways to not only test the home, but how to solve the problems that are found. Some testing methods discussed are the blower door test, duct leakage test, pressure pan test, and zonal pressure testing. By the end of this course, you will understand methods to eliminate drafts, reduce duct leakage, reduce energy usage, and prevent moisture problems that will increase the comfort of the home.
Accounting for Contractors
This course removes the complexity of accounting principles and structures them into a useful
understandable approach to manage the finances of your business. Learn how to use accounting to
monitor where you are losing money and where you are making money.
